And in 1st place we have the already legendary Dora the Explorer. I know, it wasn't really a surprise, young girls adore this adventurous bilingual girl who goes on all these exciting adventures with her monkey friend, Boots and all her other animal friends. And you can't blame them for it. When my girls were younger, none of them could get away from the TV and even I was more than happy to sit and watch the action. Dora comes in three different theme designs, Dora and Friends, Dora Star-catcher and Dora fairytale. We have combined all these into just Dora, but don't think that any of them are not popular. No, they are pretty much all as popular as each other. You will have plenty to choose from when you go with the Dora party theme, plenty of loot bag fillers and decorations, but the Dora cake-tin is pretty exciting as you get to make your very own Dora. If you lack the enthusiasm, you could get away with somewhat less effort and just get the edible cake image to put on top of your cake. Do the cake right and you will be the hero of the day, at least in your own mind.
You should make the guest list for your preschooler, but once your child is over three or four, he should be consulted. The invitations can be either store-bought or homemade and should set the mood for the event. Older kids may enjoy making invitations out of paper dolls, puzzle pieces or computer templates, depending on your chosen theme. In addition to obvious information like the time, date and directions, include special details like ”bring a swimsuit” or ”parents should accompany children.”
