Backyard BBQ Recipe – Pepper Crusted Sirloin Steak
1 ½ pounds of sirloin steak
2 tsp coarse salt
4 tsp cracked black pepper
Heat grill on medium high.
Season steak with salt and pepper
Oil grates and put steak on the grill. Cover and cook until it is cooked to your preference of doneness. Cook for about 10 minutes per side for medium rare. Remove from the grill and cover it with foil for about ten minutes.
Slice steak into thin slices. Make sure to cut it against the grain at a 45 degree angle.
Backyard BBQ Recipe – Grilled Hot Wings
Ingredients for Wings
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup Italian dressing
3 pounds chicken wings (cut apart at the joints and discard wing tips)
Ingredients for Sauce
¼ cup butter
1 tsp soy sauce
¼ cup hot pepper sauce
In a large zip-lock bag, combine the Italian dressing, chicken wings, and ½ cup soy sauce. Refrigerate up to four hours or overnight.
Preheat the grill.
Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small saucepan. Stir in the remaining 1 teaspoon soy sauce and pepper sauce. Turn off the heat and set aside.
Take the chicken wings out of the marinade and pat them dry.
Put chicken on the grill and cook for 25 to 30 minutes or until no longer pink.
Put the grilled wings in a large bowl and pour butter sauce over the wings.
Backyard BBQ Recipe -Pineapple Bacon Burgers
2 pounds of lean ground beef
½ cup barbeque sauce
1 can (8 oz) of can sliced pineapple
8 slices of bacon
Salt and pepper for seasoning
Mix hamburger meat and barbeque sauce in a large bowl. Add in a dash of salt and pepper.
Shape burger patties. This mixture will make four burgers. Put a slice of pineapple on top of the burgers. Wrap 2 bacon strips around each burger and secure with a toothpick.
Put oil on the grates of the grill and place the burgers on the grill at medium low heat. Cook until desired doneness. Turn them a lot so the bacon does not burn.
Backyard BBQ Recipe – Red, White, and Blue Salad
1 pint strawberries (hulled and quartered)
1 pint blueberries
½ cup white sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice
In a bowl, mix the strawberries and blueberries together. Sprinkle them with sugar and lemon juice. Toss them slightly.
Put in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to cool. Add in the bananas about 30 minutes before you intend on serving. Cut the bananas into ¾ inch slices and mix with the strawberries and blueberries.
